Coach what do you mean you were lucky to win the first game against SJB? Is this team really that good?

Back to back games never help. They force you to make changes and sacrifices you would not normally make.

I know we left everything on the court to beat MT, leaving us a little tired when we went up against a well rested Brebeuf team. Like Coach Bob said though, no excuses.

Regardless, it's nice to see improvements are happening in York Region basketball. We used to be one of the weakest regions, but I hope we are beginning to now prove that we have the ability to compete with anyone.

That is a question I will not answer. They were both good.

We won a game we could have lost (against Brebeuf) and lost a game we could have won (against St Theresa).

We were down three and we were looking for the best shot we could get either take the two and press and hope to get the ball back or shoot the three for the tie.

We got the tie but we had a player who picked up full court and was called for an intentional foul with less than 10 seconds on the clock.

They went to the line for the win. By the way, St Theresa went to the line 19 times in the second half and made 13 points as compared to MT who were 3 for 6. That's a huge disparity.

I think both are good teams.

They should definitely be considered for Top Ten.

I have the game sheet in the car. I will post it later.

Juremy Seochand and Justin Jarvis played well for Brebeuf.

I don't really know, my team was supposed to play them in the Eastern Commerce Tournament but they apparently dropped out some time today or yesterday, when the tournament is on Tuesday, this Tuesday...

Xavier won the Parkside tournament in Hamilton this weekend.

They defeated Sherwood (Hamilton) 84-77 in the first round and Westdale (Hamilton) in the semi-finals. (I'm afraid I don't have the score.) In the final, they defeated North Park (Brantford) by about 20.

This weekend was the first game(s) that all of Xaviers starting line was playing. They look like they will be a top ten team contender if everyone is there!
