Sultan Prospects would like you to consider our organization starting in the summer of 2010. The organization has been well represented by strong student athletes and families since we began in the summer of 2000 and hope to continue the tradition this summer. This is the fourth year that the organization is holding open tryouts and this is being done to recreate a competitive attitude between players thus putting strong teams on the floor game after game. We are looking for student athletes who are committed to the game of basketball, their team, coaches, education and family.
Our goal since the summer of 2000 has been to help student athletes achieve their goal of playing at the next level. A big part of our success has been the talent level of our players along with competing at the top events in Canada and the United States. In 10 years we’ve helped student athletes find schools while playing at the next level and in the process we’ve been fortunate to accumulate a long list of achievements as an organization, including:
Boo Williams National Invitational Tournament (Virginia) – 2005 Runner-Up
Nike Nationals – 2005 Invitee
Solon Cage Classic (Ohio) -- 2010 Champions, 2008 and 2009 Runner-Up
Deep South National Tournament (North Carolina) – 2010 Runner-Up
Ontario Basketball Provincial Championships – 2005 Juvenile Silver Medallists, 2006 Juvenile Bronze Medallists, 2009 Junior 4th place and 2010 Junior 4th place
NCAA – 24 student athletes
CIS – 15 student athletes
OCAA – 9 student athletes
The confirmed tryout dates are as follows:
Monday May 17, 2010 – St. Martin Catholic - Mississauga – 8-10pm
Thursday May 20, 2010 – St. Martin Catholic - Mississauga – 8-10pm
Thursday May 27, 2010 – St. Martin Catholic - Mississauga – 8-10pm
Monday May 31, 2010 – St. Martin Catholic - Mississauga – 8-10pm
Thursday June 3, 2010 – St. Martin Catholic - Mississauga – 8-10pm
Tryouts and practices will be held at St. Martin Catholic Secondary School (2470 Rosemary Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, L5C 1X2)
The team will compete in 4 tournaments during July:
July 6-8 – USA Tip-Off Classic – Indianapolis, Indiana
July 9-11 – Run for the Roses – Lexington, Kentucky
July 22-25 – Music City Madness – Nashville, Tennessee
July 29-31 – TBA
Fees for the summer are as follows:
Registration - $325.00, this will include registration for the tournaments and practice time.
Uniform - $175.00, this includes a Home set and Road Set (Jersey, Shorts and Shooting Shirt).
Travel expenses are not included and are additional costs.
