If I were Eastern team members I would be pissed. Why are they using Pangos and Wiggins to promote their tournament??

When did Eastern start stooping to these levels? Are they trying to sell tickets or something??

    Here are my predictions:
Pickering, Mother Teresa, Loyola, J.Clarke, Denison, Vaughan, Eastern, Henry Carr All win there first round games. This would make the second round matchups for the championship side:

Denison vs J Clarke = J Clarke win
Pickering vs Carr = Carr win
Eastern vs Loyola = Eastern win
MT vs Vaughan = MT win (Yeah I'm calling an MT win)

    Semis would be:

J Clarke vs Eastern = J Clarke win
MT vs Carr = MT win

And then in finals I have J Clarke over MT.
That would be my take on things I already know some of you guys will disagree, what are your thoughts?

I don't see anything wrong with the promotion for this tournament. You promote big name players and both Wiggins and Pangos are well deserving of the honour. Instead of promoting all of the key teams (and there are many) you promote individual players. Pangos will be going to Gonzaga and Wiggins will be going pretty much anywhere he wants when his time is due. No disrespect to Eastern Commerce but they don't have the big name attractions of previous years. They are a very well rounded team and could very well win this tournament.
    Predictions:
    J Clarke over Denison
    Pickering over Carr
    Eastern over Loyola
    Vaughn over D'Youville

    Eastern over J Clarke
    D'Youville over Pickering

    Eastern over Pickering

    Best tournament of the year.

I think that what this tournament is going to establish is who are the contenders, and who are the pretenders. I really think MT will prove itself, while Carr and Pope will show that they are pretenders. I would have liked to see Anderson in this tournament.

I guess Mother Teresa was a Pretender.Your pick for the winner just went down the drain.

Sacred Heart is one of the better teams out of Ottawa. They can shoot the ball very well and play a very disciplined and systematic offense as they look for a good shot. They also defend tough (thus the 39 pts they held Carr to). I am a little surprised at the score, but not overly surprised that they are showing well in this tournament.

Gunta I had J Clarke winning in the finals over MT. Now MT can't be in the finals but I still have J Clarke winning. The Sacred Heart team looks like they will be doing some damage this year. Coachc you say they are from ottawa, what region would they represent at OFSAA and how well did they do last year?

They would represent NCSSAA at the AAAA level if they advanced to OFSAA.

This group of players from Sacred Heart has either won or lost in the final in Ottawa for their two junior seasons. They also were considered one of the top teams last year in Ottawa but lost in the semis to St. Matts. Their coach seemed to use last year more as a building year for this year as he took his guys to many strong tournaments last year where their record was not great but the learning experience was invaluable. He is doing the same this year as they just played some games in Syracuse New York, are at the Holiday Classic, will probably be in the All Catholic next month, and I believe they are travelling to Saskatchewan for a huge tournament there next month as well. They have high expectations (rightfully so) for this year, but there are several teams from Ottawa that will battle with them for the right to go to ofsaa at the end of the season. I am very interested to see how they do against Pickering today.

This tournament is probably even better than offssa, turning out to be da bomb. There aint any team that would do anything at offssa that isnt here in the tourny. The semis and finals tomorrow going to be sick.

Vaughan and Sacred Heart should be a crazy game. I cant believe how Vaughan put the lockdown D on dy which is a high scoring team.

Only bad thing is they haven't live streamed this tourny.
