Pretty odd groupings. Two Tier 2 Peel teams ( Applewood, Heart Lake) a Peel Tier 1 team that belongs in Tier 2 ( Glenforest) and a Iroquois Ridge team that got pounded by Martingrove by 55 points at a tournament all in the same group. On the other hand, you have two of the top York region teams ( Williams and Liseaux) who are also undefeated along with a strong Barrie Central team and an Orillia team I know nothing about.
I understand the travel issues and stuff but the representative from pool A will certainly not be one of the top two teams in the tournament. Whoever finishes first and second in pool B will coast in their respective finals

Barrie central should win this.

teams are not bad...

st theresa is pretty athletic, twin lakes has a great grade 11 pg, barrie central has a very disciplined team, and gw williams has two very explosive offensive players

fyi, twin lakes point guard is grade 10, three other starters grade 11, and yeah they are quick

sorry i mean mitch is grade 11..he handles the ball a lot for them even though he slides to the 2 quite a bit as well...they are very athletic

I believe the teams from Pool A turned out OK.

In the words of sports commentator Chris Berman....that's why they play the game!!!!! Pool A won the overall championship... the Bronze medal game as well! Congratulations to Heart Lake and Applewood Heights! Tier 2 basketball in Peel is alright according to these results. Hey! It is high school basketball and on any given weekend almost anything can happen.
