Final: Vaughan 69 (Andrew Wiggins 22) - JC Richardson 67 (Tyrelle Samuel 23)

An incredible finish with J.Clarke leading 67-64 as time ran down. Troy Reid-Knight hit an NBA three with.04 seconds remaining. Then off a vaughan steal Cy Richards-Samuels scored the game winner as the final buzzer sounded.

It was a finish that anyone who witnessed will not soon forget!

who were leading scorers for game??

i am telling you troy reid knight is a beast for 3pointers pure CLUTCH, should have seen what he did to St. Patricks (Ottawa) at Eastern tourny. Thats why i keep saying how scary it will be for Ontario basketball if Wiggins stays imagine that he is only grade 10 and reid-knight and henry tan only grade 11, all other basketball programs should just fold haha cuz aint nobody beating these guys if they together for another 2-3years

I read an article that Wiggins may consider leaving again.

Not humanly possible!! You can't score with .04 sec remaining. Suspect clock work by scorers?

I believe it is 4 seconds, which left time for the steal and game winning hoop. It was written as .04 seconds NOT .4, which would of course be less than half a second.

My mistake it was 4 seconds not .04 our timer did not make a mistake but I did in reporting it!

Not true. The clock doesn't start until the referee's hand comes down and they won't do that until the ball is in possession of a player. Since both the ref and the clock operator are human, there is always going to be a very slight delay. There is enough time for a shot as long as it is immediately off the inbound possession.

The refs at the Rimrocker were talking about that and they were in unanimous agreement that it was possible.

Can't remember where, but it was fairly recently that I read in an officiating document or watched a video (maybe the one about the new FIBA rules implications on Canadian ball?) where the speaker or writer mentioned that it's some sort of generally accepted rule amongst officials that a shot can be had off the inbound pass if there is 0.30 seconds or more on the clock. Apparently anything under 0.30 seconds the game is considered effectively over.

EDIT just found it in terms of the NBA at least: On January 15, 1990 with :00.1 seconds remaining in a tie game with the Chicago Bulls, Trent Tucker of the New York Knicks unbelievably gets off a wild three-point shot as the buzzer goes off. The basket counts and the Knicks win. In the wake of this incident, the NBA establishes a rule -- known as the Trent Tucker Rule -- stating that "0.3 needs to be on the clock in order for a player to get a shot off whether they make it or not." A shot that is tipped in with less than 0.3 seconds remaining may still count.

    Hey Coach Bob,

can you confirm what teams are in your Mother Teresa Senior Boys invitational tournament for 2012. We have heard through our players that we were invited, but not sure if it was confirmed.
    Thanks,
