    Iona Catholic Empty Iona Catholic

Post by BareGoon Tue Feb 08, 2011 6:33 pm

Are they good? I hear they're really good, but are there any notable players on their team? They were # 1 in Tier 2, South for ROPSSA up until today, but Glenforest beat Lorne Park 75 - 28. However they only let in 124 points after 4 games, so their D must be nice. Has anyone played them or anything? And I've heard about their Asian Center, what's his name? Thanks for any help.

It is hard to judge south division teams based on regular season results as it is historically a weak division. I havent seen Iona play in tournaments but I have seen Glenforest who is also undeafeted in that division and they have lost games to both Bramalea and Lincoln Alexander. Iona might be good but I don't think they will be able to compete with Central Peel, Aquinas or Louis Arbour.

I agree it's a weak division but Glenforest and Iona are both good teams. And those two games were relatively close. Although I agree those three teams would be stronger, but who knows what can happen in playoffs.
