ropssaa its kinda different every team can compete for ropssaa tier 1 championship...in regards to ofsaa its differnt the AAA schools have their own brackets for ofsaa but they can compete in the regular playoffs as well. Its hard for me to explain. Hmm it was seen in senior girls b-ball ascenison won AAA and the advanced to the finals for the playoffs and the finalists make AAA ofsaa but they went to AAA so they had to do a back door game...sorry if this is confusin

The tier 1 finalists are the ROPSSAA AAAA reps, unless they already declared at a smaller level. If a team declares at a smaller level but wins tier 1, they can not jump up to AAAA. The delcaration deadline is well before the playoffs begin.

All teams are assumed to be AAAA unless they declare at a smaller level.

AAA and AA teams play a mini tournament over a couple of days to determine the rep. If more teams declare than spaces available in the tournament, they seed the teams (tier 1 in order of league record, followed by tier if necessary) until the spots are filled.

Ascension has always been a AA size school in the past, even though they have frequently played up.

I'm not familiar with all the teams on the list but the top 5 will probably go something like..

    Anderson
    Denison
    Martingrove (Gold last year)
Jarvis (Bronze last year, defeated Anderson)
    ???

Don't count out Hillcrest as a possible top-5 team. Ottawa has done well at this level the past few years (gold in 2008 and 2009) and Hillcrest has beaten Sacred Heart. St. Theresa should get a decent seeding. They participated in a lot of GTA and southern Ontario tournaments and did fairly well in most of them.
