Kurt Alexander, former star player at Pine Ridge Secondary School in Pickering, has signed at Iowa Central Community College in the NJCAA.
Alexander, a 6ft shooting guard averaged 26.8 ppg 2.9 apg, 4.3 rpg and 1.4 spg this past season for Pine Ridge. He lead the Pumas to their first 30 win season in school history and also enabled them to advance to the 2007-2008 Quad AAAA basketball championships.
He becomes only the second player in school history to sign a NJCAA basketball scholarship joining Quincy Providence in 1997 who attended Barton County Community College in Kansas.
Iowa Central Community College is located in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Iowa Central competes at the NJCAA division two level. The Tritions are coached by Dennis Pilcher who just completed his 29th season at the school.
