4 Grassroots Players sign in early NCAA signing period

After hot scoring 6-2 SR combo guard Rob Gagliardi from Pickering HS signed with Canisius College over Duquesne, N. Colorado, Detroit, etc,
the number of top seniors players from Grassroots Canada Elite to sign early went to four. Gagliardi recently helped the Canadian Jr National team win the bronze and qualifying for the 2009 wolrd championships in New Zealand, he is looking to have a big HS season and then set him sights on being an impact player at Canisius College next yr.

The other early signees include Hoopscooponline.com no. 12 SR, 6-1 PG Junior Cadougan from Christian Life Academy(TX) to Marquette; 6-7 SR WF from West Hill Taylor Johnston to Binghamton and 6-9 SR C Kadeem Coleby also from Christian Life Academy(TX) to Louisianna Tech.

Congratulation to Rob Gagliardi and all the other Grassroots players for their early signing. Rob has been a standout player since grade school and one of the purest shooters you will find anywhere. I am sure he will have a successful NCAA career.

Respect to the kids and the hard work they have been putting in. Respect to their coaches and finally respect to Ro Russell for helping them along their paths to the next level. Look out for Grassroots 2009 AAU season. Expect big things.

They are all great young men, and this accomplishment is a tribute to their work ethic, focus and talent.
These guys are tireless workers on the floor and in the classroom, and I'm sure with continued work they will all have great College careers and make themselves, their families and Toronto proud!!

This is also a tribute to their families, coaches and teachers.
Especially Ro Russell and his tireless work with the Grassroots program has helped make this possible. I have the pleasure of coaching with Ro as part of the Grassroots staff, and the energy and passion his brings to the program are phenomenal.

Coach Ro has helped a huge numbers of players along their journey, and his work on development and exposure of these guys is great for the players and basketball in Toronto.

Congrats especially Taylor and Rob (who I have the pleasure of Coaching currently with Grassroots OBA/AAU, and Taylor at West Hill) who are both going to have great High School seasons this year and solid Collegiate careers. Both are definitely high character young men! Great job and Congratulations!
