    Notre Dame Ajax -
Always a Top team with lots of talent. Dakota Whyte the team Ontario point guard leads the way with last year starters G/F Brianna Thomas and 5'10 forward Shanica Baker. Strong grade 10 class moves up to make this team deep, but less experienced. Can they work in the young players quickly? Looking to bounce back from a loss to Pickering in the Finals last year.

    2. Eastern Commerce - this team has loads of experience and high quality guards. Might have the most backcourt depth in the GTA, maybe in the province. Starting guards Sami Hill and Vaneil Simpson are joined by Pickering transfers Teanna and Tekima Rowe. Very deep but how long will chemistry take? Expect a aggressive high scoring style. Just won the Sheridan Tournamnet Championship over Campion to start their season.

    #3 Pope -
6'3 Eterniti Willock could be the next great female highschool baller out of Toronto. It will all depend on her working hard and staying focused. She has all the tools - athleticism, length, and a high motor. She played for Team Canada U16s as a 8th grader this summer. If her coaches play the Grade 9 on the senior team she joins a Championship junior team moving up. The seniors also have experienced guards Samantha Nicado and Alex Nalasco who run and score all day.
Let's hope the Pope coaches do the right thing, and let the phenom play up with the big girls in Senior ball.

    #4 Bill Crothers -
This year Crothers has 2 senior girls teams. The B team plays in YRAA and will try to make Ofsaa like other schools. The A team will be an elite development squad for students going on to play post secondary ball, no YRAA league games and no Ofsaa. They will just compete in elite level tournaments. They feature versatile forward Lindsy Shotbolt and usually play a disciplined technical style. Let's hope they enter the SBA and Colts tournaments to see how this elite team stacks up vs ND and Eastern. Don't just enter the elite Hamilton and London type tournaments - the whole GTA is watching.

    #5 Downsview -
This small North York school overacheives every year and can play with any team in the City. Cannot call them a surprise any more because they have created a top girls program that contends for AAA Ofsaa Gold every season. In your face, full-court defensive pressure and a run n' gun style make them tough to beat. Combo guard Cassandra Nofuente and Point Loysha Morris form one of the best starting backcourts out there. They never seem to have any height on this team but they play real defence, and they're tough as nails. This could be the season that they finally claim Ofsaa glory.

Michael Power...The only GTA 4A ofsaa Quarterfinalist last year at Hamilton.....North Toronto Juel Girls ...the only GTA medallist(bronze) last year at KW....3 members of North Toronto are from Michael Power... starting PG, starting center and backup Power Forward. Basically, MP lineup is the same as last year but now with depth.

Yes looks like Eastern will be taking over this rankings Top Spot.

    #6 Pickering -
This school has a NCAA D-1 sized front line with 6'2 Taijah Campbell, 6'3 Becky Nash, and 6'0 Katisha Brissett... and all 3 girls can really play. Pickerings size will be unmatched in the GTA. Big questionmark is at the guard position after the transfer of the Rowe sisters to Eastern Commerce. With the Rowes this team would have been a threat to win the big prize Ofsaa this season. Who will step up at the guard spots? Pickering had a solid weekend at the St Marys Tournament going 2W 1L. The rivalry between Notre Dame Ajax and Pickering continues this season with ony 1 of these elite Eastend teams going to Ofsaa.

What a shame that Eternati Willock is playing junior and not senior.

I'm not sure who ''RealBall'' is and I'm not sure if he or she was being serious, but Weston is not a top ten team in the GTA. I'm the coach of Weston and though we have a team that is working on improving we do not have the depth of talent nor the time (due to only one gym in our school) to practice to really compete with the top 10 teams. We'll sure try our best to put up a fight but we're not quite there yet.

Nizanna Adams and Kadesha Taylor are 2 players on our team that are playing very well and we do have a gr. 9 point guard who is very talented and is learning the game this year.

I think Notre Dame (Brampton) will take over D'Ys spot in the top ten. They were ROPSSA finalists last year and so far this year they have won their three regular season games by 38, 44 and 53 points.

Also another player to watch is Mikalah Mulrain from Ascension she also plays for team Ontario.

ROPSAA league is a single tier leaugue this year. Don't read too much into the scores of these games, as the top teams in each division are capable of winning games 100-0 if they wanted to. The true test will be in tournaments and playoffs.

Campion with 7 players will still be a force and contend with D'Youville and Notre Dame for the ROPSAA title. Should be intersting come playoff time!

    #8 Campion -
Everybodys talking about Campions injury troubles. Telesia Riley the star guard/forward and team leader is injured. Hopefully she's back on the court soon. Another questionmark is Shay Colley the young pointguard whos recovering from an injury last season.
But they still have a elite frontline with NCAA bound 6'0 Forward Sade Iriah, and the Hamilton sisters (6'3 Oceana and 6'1 Savannah). Their bigs have talent, they can hold the team together until the other girls return. Don't count out Campion.

You have a top player in the city in Nizanna Adams and good young players.
So I was serious about Weston being Top 10.
You play some other Top teams at Hoopdome so see how they match up 1st.

    New TOP 10 - Oct. 17

    1. Eastern Commerce
    2. Notre Dame (Ajax)
    3. Bill Crothers
    4. Downsview
    5. Pickering
    6. Michael Power
    7. Campion
    8. Pope
    9. Dyouville
    10. Notre Dame (Brampton)

Eastern won the SBA Tournament beating Pickering, Pope and then Notre Dame in the Finals. 2nd win vs Notre Dame this season.
Also beat Bill Crothers in exhibition game 56 -48. Eastern is the best team in the GTA so far and a AAAA OFSAA contender.

Notre Dame lost to Eastern in the SBA Finals, but beat Pope and beat Downsview by 3 in semifinals.

Downsview beat Pickering, but lost to Notre Dame by 3 in the SBA semifinals.

Pope lost to Notre Dame and Eastern. Pope Junior team won the SBA Jr Championship easily and could have played at the Sr Level.

Campion hosts their own Tournament, so some questions about this team will be answered this weekend.

Notre Dame Brampton is in the Eastern Tournament with Eastern Commerce, Downsview, Pickering and Pope. We will see how they match up.

It has all the tools - athleticism, length, and powerful engine. He played for Team Canada as U16s eighth grader this summer. If he coaches first team play in Grade 9 who had joined the movement Junior Team Championship. Pensioners have also experienced guards Nicad Nalasco Samantha and Alex, and the score for that run throughout the day.
