lol -- well nik stauskas isnt playing good competition in highschool ball --- if the second best team in his division is st. joan of arc then tust me scoring that many points in first two games shud be easy
nik is a good player - but in my opinion i think he's weak and breakable--
but thats his only downfall - he is a realllly gud player but scoring that many points against teams with low talent level is no accomplishment to his others

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
Stefan from Xavier needs to stop shooting the ball all the time (european styles) and start to use his height and post up. Don't get me wrong...he can utilize his shot which is a'right. But, when he's playing against little guys he needs to use his 6'8" frame. I saw him play at Hoop-It-Up and all he did was shoot the ball and then complain to the ref that he was fouled. I don't think I saw him have an offensive rebound...what a waste for such a big guy. Stefan needs to stop blabbing to the refs and just play his game. Stop whining and play ball.

i agree he is ONLY a shooter to me nothing else he can easily be defended and can't reall break people off the dribble, he lacks athletisicm and muscle, but if his three's get going that's when he becomes a threat

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
Its funny how kids come on here and talk trash about other
players.
I would bet all you guys that Nick stauskas is better than "Rising_star_34"
and "Simple touch" and All those guys that try to put his game down.
If you think you are better than him. Say your name.
Nick can Dribble the basketball, he can Shoot, TOP 5 SHOOTER. and he can
drive. Yes he might not be that fast, but he still gets to the rim.
He would score 20 pts on ANY TOP 10 team. So i dont know what you guys are talking about.

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
tell me something 101010 can he shoot ever game ? does he always makes his shoots wait ill asnwer that .no, who can he drive agianst good defenders like shaq, nick lewis, kevin pangos, and he would only score 20 becuz he is their best player and their offensive most likely revolves around him. his father said in his own words "coach paul" that he doesnt play his bench alot so that would explain his double figure points every night

I don't really understand what you're saying or asking here. It's somewhat disjointed. Let me help clarify things just a bit without trying to sound like I'm "boosting".
First, there isn't a player alive that "always" makes his shots. So I don't know what point you're trying to prove when you say "does he always makes his shoots wait ill asnwer that .no".
Next, Nik's played with Nick Lewis and Kevin Pangos on team Ontario last year (and against them in AAA season). They've played numerous games of one-on-one and Nik as beaten each of these guys as much as he was beaten. Yes, its true! Nick Stauskas beat Kevin Pangos is several games of one on one. Wow. Big deal. This means nothing though. Keven is still a better player.
Finally, as far as playing time goes I rest Nik, Tremell, Jaylen and Jarmar about 4 to 6 minutes each (depending on the competion). They're my best players so I play them as much as I can without burning them out and still maintaining control of the game. Beleive it or not, Nik is the tallest kid on my team and gets the majority of my team's rebounds. Do you have any idea how exhausting it is to play the majority of the game AND to be the main rebounder and score as much as he does? Think about it.
Do you really think the other guys (like Javon Ottay) on the 25 point club only play 10 or 15 minutes a game? They ALL play 80% of the game or more. They're on the floor that much because they're the best player on that team and are capable of scoring at any time. Most of the guys on any team are NOT CAPABLE of scoring over 20 points per game regardless of how much playing time they get.

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
yo why is everyone getting worked up on dis for nicks good. 101010 whats ur deal bro chill if i didnt know any better i cold almost say u are nick , tahts his opinion, but make dat poll then with all the best players of the onatrio team not by starters but everyone and rank them off who was the beat to the least on the team and ull see for urself where everyone was on the team although nick is good i don't think he was top 5 onthat team or 6 but tahst just MY opinion so dont get mad at me cause i think that, regardless if he started for the team or not does not mean he was one of the most important players on the squad he could have just been what they needed at the time. (sort of my own disccussion)

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
I have to agree with you there. I don't think Nik was top 5 on team Ontario even though he was a starter. Nik was in a slump and didn't play his best while on team O. I think he averaged 12 pts per game with about 16 minutes play time. However, you can't judge a player solely on how he played during one tournament. You really need to look at what he's done over the last 3 or 4 years and how he's playing now.

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
he probably has improved alot since then , but my top5-6 woud probably be kevin, anthony, martin,cy,duane, nick L, Jonathon, and ur son would be right in that area somewher still giving in the consideration that he is a starter and still was a valuable member to the team , i would also say negus but i was told he barely played and dindt not make the final cut before they went off to british columbia

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
When he played on team O he was 6' and 140 lbs. He's now 6' 3'' and 165 lbs. This part of the reason for better numbers recently.

Come on...give Coach Paul a break. It's his son. Of course he's going to defend him. Besides, this is quite entertaining. You guys really know how to push Coach Paul's buttons. I'm just surprised he even responds anymore since it seems that everyone is just trying to get a rise out of him.

Re: TOP 15 GR Ten Players up to date
BCSS beat Loyola by 9 (I think). We were beating them at half by 4. They killed us in the 3rd quarter and were up by something like 16.
Don't worry, you're not getting a rise out of me. I love a good debate! Say what you want, I love basketball and all the trash talk that comes with it.
It's true that Nik only scored 12 points that game. Whoop-dee-doo! Does Kobe score 81 every game?
