Both finalists advance to AAAA OFSAA, unless one of them is AA Ascension. In that case, the two semi-final losers playoff to determine the second spot.

As an aside, does anyone else find these seed match-ups a bit strange? It seems counter to what ROPSSAA usually does (e.g. normally the winner of the 5 vs 12 match would play the 4th seed, not the 1st) so part of me wonders if it's an error on the document.

What A playoffs? It's Brampton Christian and no one else so they advance directly to the ROPSSA vs GHAC qualifier against King's Christian.

That does seem very strange. Why does the one seed have to play the 5th ? Kind of defeats the purpose of earning the 1 seed doesnt it.

It is probably a mistake that was not caught. Campion should of questioned this..... Notre Dame is happy now...they play the 11th seed now. The d'Y vs. Ascension game should be good.

I sent a couple of e-mails asking about it. If I hear anything, I'll post the info.

As strange as it sounds, it seems it was a simple clerical error. However, it looks like it was caught too late to fix. Both coaches apparently also contacted ROPSSAA but were told it would not be changed.

This is unfortunate as it effects the balance of the draw.

At the end of the day, the clerical error had no impact on the outocome, since Campion ended up winning anyways.
