Re: Peel Region Top 10
I've made a few adjustments to my predictions from a couple of weeks ago, though the top-3 are still the same:
1. d'Youville
2. Loyola
3. Xavier
4. Goetz
5. Campion
6. Pocock
7. Notre Dame
8. Ascension
9. Carmel
10. Augustine
This will be a little easier to sort after Rimrocker, since 6 of the top 10 are in it.

3. Xavier
4. Goetz
5. Campion
6. Pocock
7. Notre Dame
8. Ascension
9. Carmel
10. Augustine

Re: Peel Region Top 10
I want to add some more comments:
Best starting five: D'Youville, they have some seriously talented players
Best bench: Xavier, they can go almost 10 deep with very little drop off
Best coach: Mount Carmel, Coach Tucci does a lot with little; look how much better the senior teams at Carmel do than they junior teams
Best D-1 prospect: Loyola, Juwan is the real deal and may not even be in Canada in another year
Hardest to predict: Campion, they looked god in decent tournaments but had some surprising exhibition results
Second hardest: Ascension, this should finally be the year they rebuild but how many years in a row have we been saying that? Hats off to Coach M.
Yo-yo team: Notre Dame, there is some good talent but some strong junior teams in the past have disappointed at the senior level
Best new coach: Notre Dame, again....their coach is very experienced and, being a VP, will ensure the kids are disciplined and focused
#1 villain in Peel: Bounce/CIA, I say that tongue-in-cheek since they are simply trying to make the players better and give them opportunities down south but a lot of Brampton coaches are grumbling under their breath. Imagine how good teams like D'Youville, Campion, and Augustine might be if everyone stayed in Canada
Best chances to watch good Peel teams: Rimrocker in December and Sheridan Cup in February
Nine key games this year that should decide the top 8 seeds in the playoffs:
Dec 3: Campion @ Pocock
Dec 9: Pocock @ Xavier
Dec 12: Loyola @ Carmel
Jan 6: Xavier @ Campion
Jan 6: Goetz @ Carmel
Jan 10: Loyola @ Goetz
Jan 12: D'Youville @ Notre Dame
Jan 14: D'Youville @ Ascension
Feb 9: Ascension @ Notre Dame

Re: Peel Region Top 10
Nice analysis PeelFan - thank-you for the compliment.
Little is known about our team since we did graduate just about the entire team. We have a very young (we start games with 4 Grade 11's) but they can all play. We are much quicker and athletic than last year, but lack team play and good decision making under pressure - but we still have time to fix that. We should have a good year but, if we can keep our group together, we should be legit contenders next year.

I also agree that Coach Ramalho will be great for Notre Dame - exactly what they needed.

Re: Peel Region Top 10
Where has D'youville been this Pre-season? Is it due to the success of the Senior girls? and does that guy bruno still coach with zoff?
