Advanced 1996-born players who are more skilled and developed physically, mentally, and socially compared to other players in their own age group will be permitted to tryout ONLY with written permission from the Program Coordinator (see contact e-mail info below).

Tryout #1- Saturday, September 8th, 1:00pm-3:00pm (OPEN Tryout)
    Tryout #2- Sunday, September 9th, 1:00pm-3:00pm (Top 40 Tryout/ Invite Only)
    Tryout #3- Sunday, September 16th, 2:00pm-4:00pm (Top 20 FINAL Tryout/ Invite Only)

All tryouts are FREE of charge, and all players who register by e-mail and attend will receive a FREE Nike Etobicoke Elite T-Shirt.

Tryouts #1 and #2 will take place in the Main Gym at Humber College Lakeshore (South) Campus, located at 3199 Lake Shore Blvd. W. in Etobicoke (near the intersection of Kipling and Lakeshore). The gym is minutes off of the Gardner Expressway/ QEW, and is also easily accessible by TTC via the 44 Kipling South bus from Kipling Station. Click HERE for a map to Humber Lakeshore.

Tryout #3 will take place at Bishop Allen Academy, located at 721 Royal York Rd. in Etobicoke (on Royal York between the Queensway and Bloor). The gym is minutes north of the Gardner Expressway/ QEW, and is also easily accessible by TTC via the 76 Royal York South bus from Royal York Station. Click HERE for a map to Bishop Allen.

All tryouts are CLOSED to spectators, however, there is a lounge area available at both facilities.

We are always looking to improve the depth of our team, and thus, our “official” roster will be formed following these tryouts. NO guarantees are made regarding selection, playing time, role, or position until tryouts have concluded: in other words, spots are available at all 5 positions.

Members of the Junior Elite team will receive the full Elite team and Program “package”, which includes: an individual recruitment package (profile/ game DVD’s/ mixtapes/ photos/ stats), high level local (OBA) competition, high level travel (AAU/ NCAA certified) competition, year round membership in the BOLT training program, comprehensive testing and feedback, academic support, and an “Elite” Nike gear and apparel package. More detailed information on the Program and its components will be e-mailed to all players who register by e-mail ahead of the tryout, or who e-mail requesting this information ahead of registration (details below).

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in. Last year we had over 80 athletes try out, and we are expecting a large turnout once again. Sign-in will occur at the door, however, SERIOUS PLAYERS who are interested in joining this team and Program must take a few minutes to register for the tryout by e-mailing the requested information below to etobicokethunderelite@gmail.com, by September 1st, 2012.
