Hat's off to Stephen Lewis for a very well played game. Their unbeaten season in Tier 2 was no fluke - well coached, disciplined and hard-working. Their tenacious team defense reminds me of the Humberview team from last year. I have not seen that many Tier 2 teams this year, but I would think that SL is among the favourites for the championship. We were down by 10 early and had to fight back.

As for our team, I am very proud of how they have come together since our bad loss to D'youville. We are peaking at the right time and are on a very nice streak. Our only returning senior from last year, Calvin C, went down early with an ankle injury and we really need him for our games next week (fingers crossed). We are realistic, but unafraid of our Tier 1 playoff against Loyola and our OFSAA qualifier against the GHAC champ (likely STA who have defeated Carr and D'youville this year).

Whatever happens, our goals have been accomplished. In getting to the second round of Tier 1 and to the OFSAA qualifier game, this young group of first time seniors have gained valuable experience as we move forward.
