Pine Ridge just beat Pickering 44-42 in overtime. Leading scorer for Pine Ridge was Whitney Ellenor with 20 pts and excellent defense by Shona Dunkley!

Pine Ridge may deserve consideration as well!

It takes a little while for the dust to settle.

It seems like we are right into it with the girl's season so quickly!

Hard to tell the contenders from the pretenders!

Pine Ridge is definitely an honourable mention team..they have solid guard play and an all-city player in Whitney....we packed it in on her all day and she still scored 16....

I'm surprised Pickering lost to Pine Ridge because Pickering had played Notre Dame and Dunbarton close in league games. Pine Ridge played Notre Dame close in their first league, but then lost to All Saints in there next league game.

Now I'm really looking forward to the Pine Ridge vs. Etobicoke game this weekend at the Notre Dame tournament.

Pine Ridge is capable of beating many of the top teams because of their imposing front line and their spread offense...

It was a good game by both teams, well fought out and good until the end. It wasn't our best played game, but the girls are very dedicated and stuck with it til the end. Looking forward to the Notre Dame tournament this weekend...

Etobicoke Collegiate defeated pre-season number one team in the province Westdale by 6. Today in their first league game crushed martingrove easily by 20 points. Etobicoke is coming hard this year with a solid set of 8 players. Returning players; Jill stratton, Aycha Hamaoui, Emily Joslin, Jordana mazzei, natasha amo, alana stewart and Tatia eccleston.
