if it does work like that.....ofsaa is leaving alot of high-level teams out of the tourni....1 Toronto Catholic team, thats crazy considering that MT and Henry Carr will be running for that spot, and one will lose and miss ofsaa? the looser of that game could probly end up winning ofsaa...2 Peel teams, this is crazy because peel isnt as strong as TDSB or Toronto Catholic....i think that they need to make ofsaa bigger like a smaller NCAA touni, making ofsaa a 32-team free-for-all with the winning teams getting births, and the other most outstanding teams that will make an impact on the tourni reciving an invite...i think thatz the only way this will be fair for every team in ontario

A 32-team tournament is not possible due to the logistics of hosting that many teams and the need to minimize time away from home.

Berths are based on ensuring representation from across the province and the number of teams in each region. Toronto Public, Peel, and Central-Western have the most AAAA schools by far. Berths are not based simply on the best couple of teams in a league. How is it fair to the rest of Ontario if decisions are made based on what's best for Toronto?

The only reason why Henry Carr and Mother Teresa have been participating at the last two Quad AAAA OFSAA events is because Mother Teresa won it in 2006 so the Toronto Catholic Region got an extra berth in 2007. Last year the Toronto Catholic Region was hosting the event so they got an extra berth. This year at quad AAAA SWOSSA or Windsor will get an extra berth and Henry Carr and Mother Teresa will probably battle it out for the one spot in the Toronto Catholic Region. Durham gets two berths because Pickering won OFSAA so the region that the winner represents gets an additional spot. In 2010, Durham will get two berths again as OFSAA is suppose to be held in Oshawa at Durham College/UOIT. Now, if Mother Teresa or Henry Carr can win it in 2008-2009, then the Toronto Catholic Region will get an additional spot/berth the following year in 2010.
