Malton Community Classic - February 3,4,5

Ascension of Our Lord S.S. and Lincoln M. Alexander S.S. are proud to be co-hosting the first annual Malton Community Classic Senior Boys' Basketball tournament on February 3, 4 and 5. This promises to be an exciting and highly competitive tournament. We are presently planning a 16 team format with 3 games guaranteed for every team. The cost is $300. This is a great opportunity for your team to get back to competition after the exam break and before the playoffs begin. To clarify some questions ...

You would play one game on Thursday (after school) and two games on Friday. Championship round is on Saturday (see the previous post for more information).

mmm i wouldn't say that ... STA - Oakville always has a good team, great program. Don't know much about the other schools to be honest, looks like a good tournament nonetheless.

lool ^^ i really dont care what i say at least their still making the playoffs and and FYI bikram is injured and hasnt even been playing for most of the season..

and lol ill say whatever i want to say ahvent you noticed by now?? like how goetz is dirt etc! and joa is terrible.. lol

ascension might even beet dy in their peel region matchup next week just like i called nd beating dy you never know ascension might do it too. lol

JOA doesnt always play with Muzher Mirza. Thats there best player.. He Makes a difference. Does anybody know if he played?

Bikram not playing can only be used as an excuse for so long. I mean its not a surprise to that team that hes not going to play. Especially at this point in the season.

The Bikram excuse is like me saying the reason why Carmel lost to JOA, Goetz, Loyola is because Marcus Hanson didnt play. That is an excuse. Which I have never said. Im just using it as an example. But come on, its very clear that with or without Bikram Ascension were going to be pretenders this year in Peel. There losing some embarrasing games.

you cant compare biks and marcus hanson LMAOOO --- even you should know that - they are two diff players and bikram is on a totally different level. He's a prospect.

maybe not considered as a top player anymore his age group however last year he was and i mean one of the top players... and marcus i swear he switched to playing soccer or something i wonder why?!?

Marcus is a two sport athlete. Was getting interest for D1 in both sports. He is a better soccer player than a basketball player. And he is a pretty good basketball player. He chose to focus on soccer instead of competing at al high level in both. I would assume with playing on a top soccer team and St.Davids who has a very busy schedule both in canada and in the states year round, finding time to focus on school was becoming difficult especially entering your senior years.

And when the HELL did I compare Bikram to Marcus. You have a serious problem comprehending kobe. I was refering to the worth of each player to their own teams success and the constant excuses I hear from you and others about Bikram not playing.

And your indicating Marcus isnt a prospect? You are ridiculous. There on two totally diffferent levels? Marcus can hoop[ with ANY highschool player in Peel.

It's been a hard year for us (Ascension) for many reasons that most of you know. The good news is that we are in the playoffs at 3-3 (despite what happens in our last game against DY) ... we have a very good shot at winning AAA and making noise in the playoffs. We still have not had our full lineup for one game ... yes, that can be considered an excuse but we will continue to press forward. We play JOA (unbeaten in league play) tomorrow and we will do our best to show that we are still a force in Peel. The guys on the team have not quit and we can still make this a successful season.
