i rate this coach and FYI marcus cant compete with every one in peel... you must be joking , you're a senior out here go read up a newspaper ... and cassidy dont even try and say he's nice... and you telling me i dont comprehend you clearly made an indirect comparison between the two , and do not try to deny that and maybe you just dont comprehend yourself that your interpretation of someone being good at ball is obviosly very diff from my interpretation. so cut

Eagle1, Bikram went to a prep tournament in the states this weekend with next level. Was even named player of the game in one of the games.

Did you know this? How can he play for your team, after clearly deciding to not support your own tournament? Is Bikram not on your team? how can he still be eligible to play on your team, when he hasn't played any games with your team?

Amid all the interesting discussion regarding Ascension, one thing has been left out: Bishop Allen played a very strong game to get the Win. Sharp shooting, especially from 3pt. range, by Ryan Bennett and Matt Bukovec (both 25+ pts.) helped them get there, as well as solid guard play from Angelo Ortega and Anton Suprun, and interior presence on the glass from Justin Ciufo.

Congrats to Coach Rebelo on the win, and well see what happens tomorrow in the final day of the tournament.

    good point coachJP

No disrespect to allen, I am sure they deserved the win. Ascension is a decent team. Because everyone had them pegged as a contender early in the season, now everyone is trying to say that they suck.

maybe they shouldn't of been listed as a contender at the beginning.

i my eyes they still are a contender, keep in mind just like coach said they have a guaranteed spot in the playoffs and they will hopefully do some damage and knock off some of the higher seeds Smile

Coach JP - you are right that Bishop Allen should get some credit. Their comeback win over Ascension was deserved (down by 14 at one point). Your two
go-to players namely, Ryan Bennett and Matt Bukovec, are outstanding.

To respond to a couple of posters (I have been posting here for almost a decade win or lose so I don't shy away from commenting) ...

    1) Today we defeated JOA the first place team in the south and unbeaten in league play ... that says more about the strength of the North division. A team like Lincoln who are winless in the North would be near the top in the other two divisions. Congratulation to my boys on winning the Consolation championship and showing we are a still a Peel contender.

    2) Bikram just recently got full clearance to play and had an opportunity to play in a tournament down south ... this was an opportunity for some exposure given his lack of games played this year. This was more important than our tournament given his circumstances.

    3) Bikram is eligible to play and will be playing in the playoffs and OFSAA playdowns (unless some medical issue arise which is not likely).

Hope I answered all your questions ...

    Coach M
