This is a huge result for Laurier..HB Beal is a top team in all of Ontario.

Laurier's best player (P.G Rajeevh Mckinson) did not play in tonight's game vs. London Beal because of an ankle sprain.

I was very impressed by the energy and effort Laurier brought to the floor. They are mentally tough and definitely have some serious game.

Their coach brings every bit as much intensity as his players. Make no mistake, these guys can play!

Henry Carr SUCKS this year, they lost to #11 Bluevale and #14 Cardinal Newman, who the heck ranked Carr #4 for this tourny anyways, Carr aint even good at all this year.

They better drop out of the top 10 gta rankings for next ranking.

So let me get this straight. Eastern loses 3 games to Martingrove, Oakwood and Pope in 2 days. MT loses at home to Carr and to St Mikes, a team Carr just beat at St Mikes. Denison and Anderson lose to Oakwood, who Carr just beat, Carr loses 2 games in the city of arbitrary officiating, and all you have to say is that Carr sucks?

You are out of touch with reality. You are undoubtedly a teacher or coach at one of those sorry Peel schools who can NEVER beat Carr. You are a first-class, grade-A loser! I am not saying Carr is all that, but they will slap ALL Peel teams like d'Youville, Campion, Ascension, etc.

    Get a life loser.

yaw good ranking above^^^^ but Carr is not at its worst there still in par with some good gta teams its just there not dominant like last year and no one is criticizing them for being number one dere still doing ok in tournaments. As well this year in gta basketball the ranking can go either way and can change becuase teams are defeating each other for instance this year everyone is entitled to thier own rankings and the rankings change ever week. Also peel basketball is doing fine especially in the north division were in brampton were teams are defeating each other by 5 points or less a game and beating each other so the rankings can change in peel also ( nd dy sandalwood fletchers etc )maybe dy or acension is yure team and is not dominate as last year.

You can say that again! No result from any Hamilton tournaments nor any games their refs work their magic on (which sadly also includes pretty much any game in Halton), should ever be considered for GTA ranking purposes. They are hands down the absolute worst most biased and outright cheating refs in the history of basketball. It's absolutely disgraceful out there, seriously.

    This is a fair ranking:

    1. Vaughan
    2. JC Richardson
    3. Loyola (Oakville)
    4. Oakwood
    5. Anderson
    6. Denison
    7. Henry Carr

    9. Pickering
    10. d'Youville
    11. Pope John Paul II
    12. Martingrove
    13. Eastern Commerce
    14. Mother Teresa
    15. Jarvis

This is a GTA ranking. Losing to a team outside the GTA does not affect a GTA ranking. I am not with anyone, just tired of the same old Peel crybabies bashing Carr.

Eastern lost 3 games to Martingrove, Oakwood and Pope. They had to move up. Carr lost to non-GTA teams in Hamilton.

Who would you put ahead of them?

I'd have to put some more thought to ensure it was well thought out. But loses to non-gta teams not affecting the ranking? Is that your rule? Since this is a replica of the top 25 NCAA poll, losing to non-conference unranked teams affects their rankings, so why not? Esp. If other gta teams have played them and beat them, this creates a measuring stick. I'm not saying Carr should or shouldn't move, with all the other movement it may keep you at 7. But admit the lose, it shouldn't matter if you beating ranked teams anyway. But a loss to non-gta teams should and probably does matter.

On a side note, mr. Bean all your posts are pro-Carr therefore saying you are not 'with' Carr seems suspect.

Be proud of the program, you've been beating some great teams, but had some questionable loses.

I wanted to stay out of this but due to you bashing Peel because of one guy views i have to say you full of crap.I agree it seem no matter who Carr lose too they stay the say spot in the Hooptowngta rankings.
Losing to a team outside of the gta does affect your rankings,I am not bashing Carr they are down due to losing players to PREP but come on you got to be honest.Carr have to drop in the rankings ,you made a statement about Peel schools that i did not like so i will set you straight there are a few schools in Peel that will give CARR a good run yes Peel is not at its best but they are still good. Did you see what Dy did against Pope ,Richardson and Mt or Fletchers against Dension?

There are no crybabies in Brampton Peel is my home and i will defend the teams against you guys in the GTA.So take your foolish crap ,rankings and paste it all over the gta.Dont take one person views and put down a whole area.

I disagree with you gunta. There is a ton of bashing from the Peel supporters, maybe not from you. JT's comments were a very clear example. Several teams had multiple losses and losses to Henry Carr, but he only said Carr sucks. They might suck, but then there are several other teams that could be labelled the same way. I jumped on the bandwagon after repeated personal attacks on a team, school, and coach. If you want to say I am "with" Carr go ahead. That is my opinion on the ranking. If you disagree, then put up your own. It makes for good debate and discussion.
