CROWN: Article OFSAA 4A Championship Day Recap and Standouts

After all the mayhem around the the seedings by the OFSAA AAAA committee it seems like they pretty much got the seedings correctly. 3 of the 4 top seeds made the semis. Only Oakwood spoiled the party getting taken out by Carr on a late three pointer by Lincoln Samuels as the game ended. (2)Richardson would take on surging (3)Loyola while (1) Vaughan with a 43-1 record took on a Carr squad who were peaking at just the right time, the provincial play downs.

A 5 over a 4 seed isnt an upset really.

True "stevelogan92" a 5 over a 4 is not really an upset as both teams were surging towards the end of the season as well...I just meant that the OFSAA Committee was amost bang on with their seedings. There was a lot of controversy with them posting
the seedings and then pulling them for several hours...but after it all...the teams that
were playing their best basketball advanced to the final 4. Vaughan and J Clarke were
the best two all season and kept up their high level play consistently up there at the top. Meanwhile Loyola and Carr kept surging as the season progressed and rode their
momentum into the AAAA semi-finals! It was a great tournament and a great year for Canadian basketball, including the AAA Championships in Niagara Falls!
