    In championship draws with 16 entries (from 3 divisions) the wild card position to be awarded to the best 6th place finishing team based on the following criteria in order;

    (i) team with the best record
    (ii) team with the fewest points against
    (iii) team with the best point differential to a maximum of 15 points per game

    ===========================================

    Since Gonzaga's 4-5 record is a better winning pctg. than Augustine's 3-5 record, I would assume they get the spot.

    I thought those were the tiebreaker rules for the wildcard too, but last year Notre Dame got the 16th spot despite allowing more points than the other teams in contention (I think Iona was one of them). I believe the coaches voted in Notre Dame at the wild card...

    I think the first 6 seeds are pretty much a lock
    1. D Y
    2. Campion
    3. Loyola
    4. FX
    5. Carmel
    6. Ascension

    Seeding 7 down gets tricky. These are my Predictions.

    7. Goetz
    8. Mississuaga
    9. BCSS
    10. Notre Dame
    11. Meadowvale
    12. Pocock

    I have not seen any of these teams play except for St. joes so im taking a wild guess

    13. Sandalwood
    14. St. Joes
    15. Brathwaite

    The wild Card I have no clue how it is decided
    16.

    1) D'Youville vs 16) Gonzaga
    2) Campion vs 15) Brathwaite
    3) Loyola vs 14) Meadowvale
    4) Xavier vs 13) Notre Dame

    Cool Mississauga vs 9) BCSS

    ND, Meadowvale and Brathwaite will be ranked 13-15 because they finished last in their divisions.

    Coaches do not vote for the wild card; it's best record, followed by fewest points allowed and best point differential.

    Isn't Meadowvale ahead of St.Joseph in the standings, thats what it shows on the ropssaa scores and standings site, so meadowvale would be playing carmel instead

    well the rankings on ropssaa scores are not by points or head to head if a team is tied with another team in the same divison they just put the teams in alphabetical order. They do not sort out tied teams on ropssaa scores but on the playoff seed sheet they will. Joes will be ahead of Meadowvale because of the head to head game which counts first in ties tht joes won.

    4) Xavier vs 13) Notre Dame

    Notre dame played good at the Sheridan Cup... iunno if they can take on FX but they hve a good chance if they just step their game up a bit.

    And D'Y Gonzaga ...gonzaga is quality team...probably wont be an upset but it wud be amazing if they cud pull the W....

    3) Loyola vs 14) Meadowvale and 5) Carmel vs 12) St Joseph played each other in season and just owned, upset is hard to see

    and 6) Ascension vs 11) Pocock tht we will just hve to waait and see

    Assuming the top 8 seeds advance. The upset I think is possible in the quarters is the Carmel vs Xavier game. Carmels size vs Xaviers speed. Carmel might take that in a close one. Xavier is like a second home to Carmel players.

    Also the Ascension vs Loyola game will be good. Ascension is really coming in under the radar this year just like Carmel did last year. Carmel ended up whippin Ascension. It may not be an Ascension whipping this year but a close game.

    Also look out for Goetz vs Campion game. I hate to say it but Goetz is peaking at the right time and they looked good in the Sheridan Cup. I wouldnt be suprised if they upsetted Campion in their own gym. Then look for Goetz to upset Loyola ( upset based on the ropssaa rankings) or take Ascension ( If they upset Loyola) at home and make it to another ROPSSAA final.

    I was hard on Goetz at the begining of the season but if they pull off the upsets in the play offs I will be the first to congratulate them. Good Luck to all teams.

    Goetz seems to be on a roll and winning at the right time.
    Father Goetz 73 (Jahlaine Reid, 20), St. Francis Xavier 55 (Ben Ansah, 16);
    Father Goetz 77 (Ulysses Mendoza, 17), Loyola 67 (Tamoy Leiws, 19);
    Father Goetz 74 (Joseph Tubbs, 26), Gonzaga 65 (Filip Jelic, 34);
    Finally have a healthy team. think each starter has missed multiple games. J.Tubbs is finally playing after missing almost the entire season. If they stay healthy it wouldn’t be a surprise if they made the finals again.
    People are hard on Goetz cause they are probably bitter from losing to them in the past.

    I think that Xavier seems like a team could suffer an upset. They just don’t look that strong. May be a bit overrated. If it happens, Carmel and Fx would be a good game to see. Brothers coaching against each other. But a #5 beating a #4, not really a big upset.

    Loyola is probably upset from losing the Sheridan cup. They may come back with a vengeance.

    The league is more balanced than years past. Anyone could win it. should be fun. Good luck everyone.
