Can't dispute a poll. But with st. Mary's beating mother Theresa and MT with 1 win and 3-4 losses, they still cracked the top 10??? Oh well, it's a poll and certainly keeps us interested. Thanks for doing it.

Thank you for your comments. You are exactly right its a poll I don't agree with every vote I just tabulate the results, total the points and report the results.

The participants are better informed than most but sometimes they may not be aware of all the pertinent results.

I enjoy doing the poll but its quite a bit of work, I'm glad it is of interest to some.

    Other recent results:

Turner Fenton tournament: Campion over Roch in the final

St. Francis (St. Catharines) tournament: I was told that Bishop Reding from Milton beat Holy Trinity in the semis. I believe Reding also won the tournament but I'm not 100% certain.

Not disputing your argument really but a legitimate point is who has a team lost to? A team could be 6-0 but who are they 6-0 against? Its very relevant in my opinion.

Bishop Reding CSS from Milton did win the St. Francis Tournament over the host school.

Bishop Reding CSS also beat St. Michael's (Toronto) by double digits in an exhibition game last week and lost to McNabb (Hamilton) by single digits the week before. Sorry for not posting the actual scores but this was what I was told by the coaching staff.

Holy Trinity CSS played McNabb (Hamilton) and lost by double digits in an exhibition game. They beat their opening rounds opponents relatively easy before losing to Bishop Reding in the semis. Exact scores of these games I am unsure of so I won't take a crack at it.

Not sure of other Halton scores but I would imagine these two schools will be in the hunt for the regional title plus one or two more.

Bishop Redding last year was comprised of mostly grade 9's. I believe they only had one grade 10 last year. They will be more competitive this year for sure.

They did receive some support in the Poll but I guess most people in the GTA aren't too aware of them yet! Sounds like we'll be hearing more about them!

I have received some further information regarding Bishop Reding.the scores listed above were accurate. they have defeated St. Michael's and also won over Holy Trinity by over 40 pts.

They are a very young team with 8 Gr. 9's and 4 Gr. 10's. They definitely sound like a team to be aware of moving forward.

The poll is intended to be for schools in the GTA only although I may not have made that point fully clear! Schools in Oakville are eligible under that critereon. Schools in Hamilton would not be.

For that reason I am removing ACMT from the "On the Radar" category. In future I will simply disregard votes for non-GTA teams.

Thank you for informing us of Bishop Redding. It makes a big difference when people send in as many results as possible. It certainly will force ranking changes on my list for next weeks poll.
Even if it's a exhibition game, please send in as many scores as possible. The first list got tough for me near the bottom and honourable mention due to lack of knowledge of results. Results such as Bishop Redding helps us all make our picks.I know it helps me.

Not that it is a big deal....but how is it that Oakville is okay and Hamilton is not? What makes you eligible?

It's always been that way. You have to eventually have a border. For us, it's Halton region to the west, York Region to the North and Durham region to the east. Hope this helps.

Not trying to be a smartass but Wikipedia says this:

"The Greater Toronto Area is defined as the central city of Toronto, and the four regional municipalities that surround it: Durham, Halton, Peel, and York."
