Emery Eagles - 2009 Toronto North Champions

This was a well played game by two amazing teams. This game went to double overtime by the cause of Newtonbrook's athletic/versatile seemed to be go-to player #21 and three point shooting point guard #31 (which i've been told after the game is only in GRADE 9) and Emery's HHOOTT three point shooter Tafari Wright #31. At the end of the second overtime with less than a second left, Emery's go-to player (Shaquille Go-To Matthews) banks a mid-range buzzer beating shot giving them the 1 point victory to take the championships. (Another Oakwood-Eastern Commerce game). Congrats to Newtonbrook for their hardwork even though they have just been stripped the Toronto North title. And a special congratulations to Emery for their huge success going undefeated in the season/playoffs to win the Toronto North Championships.

Hate to say it, but I knew my Emery boys would take it.

He never banked it in, it was a swish off of a pump fake. Emery had like 10 seconds to get up a shot and after there pg made a pass that got deflected. Shaq recovered which led to him doing the pump fake and hitting the game winning shot. It was a great game.

EMERY PLAYED A VERY GOOD GAME HOWEVER THE TURNOVERS WERE VERY COSTLY, THEY ALSO RAN A ONE DIMENSIONAL OFFENSE WITH RUSH IN AND OVERLOAD ON A FEW OCCASIONS. I HAVE TO GIVE IT UP FOR THEIR PERSERVERENCE AND SHAQ REALLY MADE A TOUGH SHOT WITH A LOT OF PRESSURE ON HIS BACK. tOFFARI WAS THE x FACTOR IN THIS WIN WITH 21 POINTS

Yes BCSS did. Peel region is deep, man. Not Toronto. I have seen a lot of those "good" Toronto teams get beaten by Peel teams at tournaments.
