    Post by numba1balla Tue Feb 24, 2009 12:40 pm

Vaughn SS Vs Newmarket HS - St. Augustine @ 4:30, Thursday Feb 26th

    Predictions?
How do the teams gotta play to win?
    Who to look out for?

    My opinion :
    1.Newmarket by 3
    2. For newmarket to win they gotta slow down dinjyl and the rest of vaughn from fast breakin, as well as break the vaughn press because it is vonerable over the top
For vaughn to win they gotta get out and run as well as hit their shots cause newmarkets gunna clog the middle.
    3. On vaughn, guys to slow down to win are cy and dinjyl
On newmarket, slow down joseph and brett and you win

    Gonna be crazyy

    1. Newmarket by 5
    2. true all you said, plus, aside from dinjyl, newmarkets gotta make dem shoot.
probs the same for vaughn, make em shoot, newmarkt has to be hot or they cant shoot
    3. id add aiddian for vaughn and ian for newmarkt

    1. I aint gunna predict
    2. for vaughn, their press is deadly but if you can beat it over the top, easy 2 points, so for newmarket to win they gotta break the press and keep the game close, dont let it get away
For vaughn to win they gotta come out strong because they are a team that makes it almost impossible to come back
    3. all 5 for both teams are deadly but vaughn has the stronger 5 while newmarket got the better bench

game should be one to remember. great way to end the season.

I predict that Vaughn will win this game by 20+ points!
Vaughn is plainly amazing at each position.
Din is the biggest obstacle New Market has to stop which they can't.
    Vaughn shall be win.

Haven't seen Newmarket play but have seen Vaughan.

The best senior final would have been to see Vaughan juniors play the Vaughan seniors!

Despite what has been written here, Vaughan does not have a bench. Proof of this is the fact that the coaches don't feel confident to sub even with 20, 30. 40 point leads.

Doesn't matter Vaughn's starting five are so talented they can come into the championship game and still win with 5 players on the court and 1 player on the bench. But that's not the case, they DO have a bench, and the best 6th man probably in GTA right now (Henry). There bench isn't what is going to win them the game, its there starting unit that is going to do it. Vaughn by 12

da reason da coach doesnt put the bench on wit 20, 30 point leads is cause they try to destroy the other team an beat them by as possible.
jus winning isnt enough at vaugh they gotta win big

Vaughn won both finals, i watched both games.
the junior won by A LOT i cant remember but it was too much to remember
and the senior won 55-41 every time milliken would come withing 8 points Vaughn would make a run of their own.
Congrats to Vaughn for 3 straight senior YRAA championships,
and congrats on winning both junior and senior tier 1 games.
I dont think thats ever happened before

Vaughan hasn't ever done it I believe. Before last year the last time they won York was 2001 or 2002 against Miliken I believe and the juniors didn't win it then. Pretty sure this is Vaughans first ever Junior title.
