(no order)
Henry Carr - excellent returning players, strong coaching, tradition
Vaughan - good returning players, strong incoming class, excellent coaching
Pickering - great program, usually land a number of the top prospects in Durham in Gr.9
Mother Teresa - we return four or five rotation players and our incoming class is one of the best in recent seasons
Oakwood and Eastern - traditional powers in the Public board.
Jean Vanier had some good Gr. 9's this year although Coach Marchione is moving back to Senior I believe.
Pope John Paul has some very good incoming players. I'm not sure how strong last seasons Gr. 9's are because they had such dominant Gr. 10's.
Notre Dame (Ajax), Pine Ridge and Dunbarton are showing signs of becoming rising powers.
Peel - very hard to call there are so many good teams but the strength seems to be spread around among a number of schools. Campion, d'Youville and Goetz are usually up there!

Rising teams
The teams I named are perennial contenders.
Are there any rising teams out there.
I think I saw Downsview has some players coming.
Are there other teams out there (not the usual top dogs) whose fortunes could be swinging to the upside?

From Toronto North;
Emery won the North and has Coach Maydo from seniors as mentor and assistant coach.
Newtonbrook also has a improving program.
They lost in the North finals to Emery in 2OT, and last season they won the North and made it to the City Finals. Very good grade 9 pointguard.
Downsview could also make some noise. Is Miqueel Martin playing juniors or seniors in grade 10? Someone told me he might go prep, is this just a rumour?
No these are not Top 10 material yet, but some programs in the North to keep an eye on depending on their incoming Grade 9s.

Martingrove have approximately 9 rep players coming next year to play basketball. Some that you may known include Connor (St. Davids), Emanuel (EBA 2), Ryan (EBA 2), David (EBA 2) and more.

Martingrove on the recruiting trail too? Why would anyone go to Martingrove? Their senior program is weak.

Vaughan may be the team to beat next season.
On paper they look very strong.
Their stock continues to rise.
As some of these kids move up to Senior I see them being considered one of the major powers in the GTA.
They have excellent coaching at all levels, a strong feeder system and some outstanding players throughout the program.

No disrespect to any of the other teams, but the current FHC Jr B team have challenged themselves to be the #1 junior team next season AND to be undefeated, like the FHC Jr A team did this year. If any team can do it, they can.

I haven't seen that many to be honest.
Marcus Hanson really impresses me as does Petar Rusic.

I am sure that Henry Carr will definitely be very strong.
Undefeated though? That will be tough.
Junior will be very competitive next year in my opinion.
