HooptownGTA's Super 16 - Released Nov 29

Here's my two cents on the rankings ... seen many of these teams play recently ... Westview beats Downsview @ Downsview by a handful in a thriller earlier this week ... MT beats Pope @ Pope by 1 in OT yesterday ... Laurier unimpressive in a win over Birchmount Park about a week ago ... Pope beats Carr @ Pope by 1 ... JC beats Vaughan ... Anderson hasn't played any of the Top 16 lately so difficult to place them ...

For me, the bottom line is there's a lot of parity and most of these teams can beat the others on any given day. Makes for exciting games, good discussion and lots more hype leading up to the OFSAA's. Hopefully a new "official" ranking will come out soon.

Sorry Coach but that's a terrible list!

The first two are certain, and Anderson should be #3. They need to play a tougher schedule more consistently.

After that, it's a crap shoot. How can Loyola be #3 when Henry Carr beat them 2 weeks ago? Carr also beat MT last week. Pope has a win over Carr in Popes gym, but lost by 20 to a team that Carr demolished by 30.

Maybe the next 3 should be:

4. Loyola
5. Eastern
6. Henry Carr

That reflects Loyola's recent win over Eastern but ut that doesn't reflect Carr's recent win over Loyola.

Then:

7. Pickering
8. St Mikes
9. Mother Teresa (even though they lost to d'Y)
10. Pope

That is an unbiased ranking.

As you said ... "it's a crap shoot" ... and as I said "bottom line is there's a lot of parity and most of these teams can beat the others on any given day" ... so no biases by any one ... it would be really nice if someone could collect all of the results for the past 2-3 weeks and so we can get an accurate picture of who did what to whom and when ... we might be very interested to see it!

Anderson is definitely number 3 in the province! They got quality wins over Oakwood, Henry Carr and now Loyola Oakville and a single loss to Vaughn. What can I say.....Durham Region is hot this year with J Clarke Richardson, Anderson and Pickering. Anderson is legit!
