Etobicoke-Monarchs game review

Post by bigred on Fri Apr 06, 2012 7:35 am

ETE and Monarchs had a game on thursday 05th it was a good game but i was expecting ETE to down Monarchs by about 15 to 20 points with all the fire power they have.ETE comes out and their warm up were more like a NBA team all flashy with most of the players dunking in the warm ups but game time they played like a high school D2 team.,Monarchs look small in size as their big man Matthew Bedford being out of town.

From the start of the game Monarchs ran all over ETE leading the game all the way, ETE fought their way back in the third quarter due to Monarchs bench not being consistant and maintaining the score but Monarchs still had control.
6 seconds left(not 2) in regulation #6 hit a hard but good 3 pointer to take the lead. With 3 seconds left and down by 1 point Monarchs Player #14 took a good 3 point shot which seem to be going in but luck of the draw just rim out great game all around.

A win is a win great game but Coach JP your team is under performing all flash but nothing else, this team is 12 man strong with lots of fire power with over half the team commited.Monarchs is the first AAA team to give ETE a good test seeing that they are running away from tough competition. With your 12 wins 2 were AAA teams. After losing to Brampton this team needed a good shake up. If you dont play tough AAA teams how would you know the potential of your players. This team have some good players but some are overrated.I had to give review in response to your Youtube clip, you and your players tweets. This win is nothing to be proud of what you should of done is go into the locker room and reem(spelling) the players out because of their performance.
If i was to rank this team i would put them in D2 right now but seeing that you are on the ranking committee you never know what would happen.

Coach Gary good game this team need to jell a bit more to get the performance you need,no excuses but this team need to close out games.
Losing to Wildhawks by 4 points in overtime Monarchs had control of the game from the start ,wildhawks making a lucky but good shot to send the game in overtime hard loss, with #23 and #8 now in the line up it would be good next time. Wildhawks moving on to win ETE tournament.
I think the loss to ETE by 1 point is dissappointting especially to go down by another 3 point shot once the team start jelling together they will be tough. But you need to work on the bench.

This is in no way to degrade any player, team or coach. ETE having the most fire power with all lights shining on them is expected to do more dont be surprise if new players are added.

No new players will be added to our program---all 12 were selected in September, and we live up to that ideal. Help will not come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

talent wise eba has it all
