MT for gold! I think they have what it takes to win a championship this year against Eastern Commerce. I say it goes down to one possession with MT on top.

Mother Teresa looked very impressive in the semi-final. Their defense was outstanding and they jumped to an early lead and never looked back. Maurice Williams left the game at 5:00 in the 3rd quarter with 3 fouls. He didn't return but MT cruised without him.
Eastern Commerce is just amazing though. I've not seen a team with this much speed before. Their guards are incredible and rarely give up turnovers. I think that MT will keep the game close but the Eastern guards will wear them down in the 4th quarter.

no its not, i checked rogers, the score, sportscenter, sportsnet and none of them... this sucks i dont understand how the ontario basketball championship game isn't being televised.. its actually ridiculous, not one of those stations couldn't televise it... we cant even compare to the states... they televise not only the championship but like any big game such as Oak Hill Vs. St. Vincent/ Mary when Melo and Bron were there, it just shows how much Toronto cares about basketball, rogers is always showing 10 year olds playing hockey and its housleague but they cant show OFSAA Basketball Championship, thats bullsh*t

The most consisten team this year won the gold. Congrats to the outstanding program at Eastern Commerce.
My thumb is also up to Notre Dame Wellend for surprising everyone (including me) this week. They have certainly improved since playing in the Rimrocker.
I am also quite happy that Pickering did not win. I have no personal beef with the players but it would have compounded an already bad decision by OFSAA to compromise their own standards for an elite program if they had won it all.

As far as I can tell, Eastern is only the fourth school to win OFSAA boys and girls basketball in the same season. The others were McGregor for Chatham which did it in 89-90, North Middlesex from Parkhill which did it two years in a row (99-00 and 00-01) and St. Joseph from St. Thomas which did it 93-94.
