1993=2012

Unless a player starts high school a year late or reclassifies, he would be class of 2010 if born in 1992 and class of 2011 if born in 1993.

A student enters grade 9 the year he turns 14. A player born in 1992 would enter high school in 2006. Therefore his fourth year of high school would be the 2009-10 school year.

This whole thing is confusing, look.

Cory Joseph is born in 1991 and it says he is in the class of 2010.

Which would make the people born in 1992 the class of 2011.

But I'm almost 100% sure John Wall is born in 1991 as well but it says he is class of 2009.

Not sure what is going on, it seems all confusing to me.

the players that get transfered to the states get put back a year

bronbron, the confusion is from reclassification. Often, a player who goes down south after grade 9 will redo grade 9, mostly because the coach wants them for four full years. However, it doesn't mean the new date applies to the majority of players who don't reclassify.
