2009-2010 Father Henry Carr Roster!!

Im aware of the key players lost from last season and Im just wondering if there are any new recuirts for this season, any key returning pieces, etc. Hoping Coach Melnik or any supporting cast can provide any information. Carr has always been an exciting and competitive squad to watch since Kern Carter days and beyond, just hope that the same hunger and drive is still there with a new Carr team.

Hey Coach Wheeler! I am assuming this is Scott Wheeler??

It is way too early for this type of discussion. However, our team will be drastically different than last season. The "same hunger and drive" will always be a component of the Crusader basketball program...we pride ourselves on that. We have a skilled, quick, athletic group that will work as hard or harder than any team I have ever coached. Our long term success depends on many variables, the main ones being development, commitment, and teamwork.

I think we will be fun to watch. I am looking forward to teaching and molding this group. There are so many teams at the same level, that this season will undoubtedly be super-competitive, and loaded with upsets.

No this is not Scott Wheeler, I believe Scott was the great shooter from Northern S.S. if Im correct?

Leon Wheeler no relation to scott but im a huge fan of high school basketball even before I started high school and even my high school years. My friend call me coach from high school so I just put the name in front of my last name. Im looking forward to Carr doing same damage this year.

I am not sure of too many names on the Carr roster (Chippy, Nat, Raheem, Malik, long kid) but I am hearing that Coach M is putting this team through some intense preparations. Does any one at the school have some info?

Word in the high school basketball world is that Runnymede transfer Shane Reader an 6'1 Point Guard is now attending Carr. Seen some of his games last year and he is a threat on the perimeter. Anyone has more info please do share.

Why no word on Carr? I think I might pass by the school to see the team practice. Has that been done? Would Coach Melnik mind?

If Shane Reader is attending Carr.. he has not yet applied to be eligible, as his name is not on the TDCAA transfer list... regardless of who is attending Carr and playing senior, they will be the team to beat in the TDCAA West and will be well coached

Jay is trying out for us... our roster is not finalized yet... he will have to be eligible also
