Myck will not be there until next year.
By then, Cory may be in the league.

I have already spoken to Tristan, and he is committed to getting a degree before leaving Texas, and as far as I know Cory will be doing the same. As far as I'm concerned though, Cory and Myck could both start, and you'd have a killer tango of Canadians on that roster.

obviously i dont KNOW what will happen but i believe it will be a lot harder to stick around for 4 years if either of these guys start out hot and playing well.......either one of them (or both at the same time) can have NBA scouts at their games and that might change their opinion......they will still have the option of finishing their degrees if they decide and work hard enough to go pro

Re: COREY JOSPEH TO TEXAS!!!
Slow down...neither kid has even scored a hoop for Texas yet...let them head to Austin and start doing their respective things...comment on what they achieve WHEN it happens...cut the bullshit speculation it doesn't do anyone any favors...it is no cake walk in the Big 12...Texas went from preseason number 3 to out of the top 25 by week 16 with a 21-6 record...Texas finished 6th in the Big 12...let's hope the boys can turn it around for them and get them back to the top in their conference...so chill on the speculation...right now they are both McDonalds high schoolers with a ton of potential going to a respectable program with an opprotunity to work hard and move forward with their careers...best of luck to both of them...I'm out!!!

2011 Mock NBA draft, Cory is ranked #12, so its just not the folks on hooptown who believe he will be 1 and done!

Re: COREY JOSPEH TO TEXAS!!!
nbafdraft.net is all hype
This is also the same website that had Ivan Chiariev, coming right out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Oakville (via Russia), going third overall.
And Carl English as a late lottery pick.
And many other misinformed projections.
So forget about this one year and done crap... let's sit back... enjoy... watch Cory and Tristan develop... and hope their dreams come true.

Re: COREY JOSPEH TO TEXAS!!!
Nbadraft.net was off the mark on Denham too...bottom line...Corey has to go to Texas and put the work in...if he proves that he he is capable of playing at the next level then the NBA will come calling...trust me there are a ton of McDonalds High School All America who don' even do well in college...the NCAA is lot different than rollin around with Findaly Prep and the AAU circuit...remember back in the day Michigan had a McDonlad's high schooler Lavell Blanchard who edged Jason Richardson for Gatorade Player of the year and he never got a sniff in the league...keep it real...I'm out!!!

Re: COREY JOSPEH TO TEXAS!!!
During the McDonals All American game, I heard the commentator mention that 84% of McDonalds All American players get drafted into the NBA.
That to mee seems high!
I would like to know how many stick around!
Bottom line... nothing is guaranteed... lot's of work still to be done.

Re: COREY JOSPEH TO TEXAS!!!
I think it was actually Bill Wennington, who did go on to St John's University and to the league. Olu was selected but was injured and didn't participate. Injuries have plagued his career but he is still young and playing overseas. He has also played in the D League and had some average numbers. Close but no cigar as of yet. I personally do feel that Cory, along with several possible others, have a good chance of starting a new wave of Canadians coming into the league. Nash obviously opened the eyes of the NBA. Jamal followed, opening the door foe Samuel Dalembert and now Joel Anthony. The population of Canadians entering the NBA will grow and the likes of the trio of Joseph's, Rob Sacre, Tristan Thompson and many other possibles that are holding there own at D1 schools like the Andrew Nicholson's, Mark Trasolini's could be the next Joel Anthony with continued hard work. If not, there is always Europe, where many players have had great careers and were also financially secure. Texas will be a nice squad, with some chemistry if Bradley stays. Bring Myck in the following year and the chemistry between him Cory and TT has always been there between those 3 shown by the success they have had playing together on the AAU circuit over the years. Texas is just doing what Gonzaga has found success doing.
