Wow dis year is going to be interesting my predictions r that peel is winning over durham again if they face, and toronto public forsure is winning over the catholic. Since halton isnt in it who is york region going to face Question Or i guess thier doing it differently this year they even included players from the prep schools

Im sorry but Peel will not beat Durham. The top players from Richardson, Anderson, and Pickering, plus the two boys from Dunbarton will beat Peel this year. Peel has Shaq, Dylan, Richard, Alex, Ashton after that it gets pretty thin everyone else is too young to compete with the seasoned Durham squad.

Unless Halton chose to get involved with a different event (e.g. a Hamilton-based one), their exclusion at the expense of a prep squad is a slap in the face.

If the Durham team doesn't play hard, then they will lose like they did to Peel last year. Durham will have plenty of talent, however, they can't go through the motions and just show up. Durham can potentially put out a line up of Agunwa Okolie(the best keep secret in Durham..a legit 6ft-7 power forward), Dyshawn Pierre, Aaron Redpath, Justin Edwards and Jamal Reynolds. That is a super talented line up with size and athleticism at every spot! However, can they actually play well together...that remains to be seen. There is still guys like Damion Rashford, Jevon Jacobs, Asher Tulloch-Lewis, Tyrell Samuels and also G.L. Roberts has a few guys. Durham looks really good on paper...however like my man Chris Berman says, "That's why they play the game!"

Yeah! You're right. I did forget about Leon Alexander.....a little oversight..LOL Smile

I agree with Ballo however....Durham looks like they have the best team on paper....but York definitely has the two best players in the event so they might actually have an edge over all the other regional teams. It will be interesting to see how they match up the teams this year. This year I think that the York team should be in the feature or late game.

    5:30pm – Toronto Public vs Independents(REDA/Phase 1/Next Level etc)

7:00pm – Slam Dunk Competition and 3pt shootout

DAM! Durham vs. York in the late game....who would have ever thought a few years back that a game between these two regions would be something noteworthy.

Let me guess: a few Loyola players can't make it and they consider the entire region of Halton "unavailable"? Laughing

Well I still predict peel is coming on top and if durham does beat them which most people do predict because of thier success this year and the talent they have compared to last year , then its not going to be a blowout win probably a tight one. But well see...

According to the schedule, Peel is playing against Toronto Catholic(Henry Carr, MT, Pope John etc.) at 4pm. Durham is playing against York at 8pm. TrueTalkz50..unless they meet in an exhibition game, they won't be facing each other at all this time.

Just an FYI but CROWN will be LIVE STREAMING the Battle of the Boards for all those out there who won't be able to make it! We'll have all the details out on where you can catch the whole day's festivities!

It's gonna be amazing. We got the BATTLE on lock. It's gonna be a nice clean feed just like we did for OFSAA AAA a couple of weeks ago in Niagara Falls! Were going to cover all the All-Star games as well as the dunk off and 3-point competition. Plus we'll have a little play-by-play and interviews as well!

We are supporting as always Ryerson University Hoops and Head Coach Roy Rana, also the Cdn Cadet Boys coach and the 2011 Nike Hoop Summit coach! He's raising the Ryerson program's profile every day!

So stay tuned and check www.crownmagonline.com for the details tomorrow(March 28th).

what are the rosters for each team?

Great to see ryerson with the initiative to run this but please do it right.

Post each team's rosters so we can see which kids are participating. We always seem to drop the ball on promotion here in Canada.
