PROGRAM INFORMATION
This program delivers age specific basketball development through regionalized training sessions and a four day basketball camp with kids from all over Ontario.
The U12 Talent Identification and Development Program (TIDP) is designed to provide a training environment for athletes 12 and under (Learn to Train Stage). Regional training sessions are designed to introduce the selected 30 athletes to basic basketball skills while learning fundamental movement skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Athletes are evaluated throughout the program and provided with a “report card” identifying the strengths and area of their game which require improvement.
This program is also used as a means for Talent Identification for the next level of competition including the provincial team programs. The program is run as a four stage process.
