Alright seems like some funny business going on, tell me how come names like these aren't included: Manny Sahota, Dylan Periana, Alex Ahmadi, I can't imagine them being cut for some of the people on this list?

only half of the students tried out today. Another 50 students are trying out on Thursday.

For the record Manny Sahota withdrew from participating due to other commitments.

i think its unnecessary to post anything other than the final team, no point in publicizing who gets cut from the team and having it argued about over here......im sure many of the players would rather not be talked about

um i have a question what if you where not able to attend because of other issues, are you allow to show up for the next tryout or no???

i love ball: point well taken. I just think this is a good way to filter info to the students in a quick way. Believe it or not some coaches don't check their email that regularly.

I will second the thought. Often, Hooptown is a much quicker way to get the info to coaches and players. I have to e-mail some coaches 3 or 4 times before they respond to Rimrocker-related requests. Coach Pahis is just being practical.

It's a shame you even need to write this. Coaches post this kind of info on the board both as a way to get it to the players as quickly as possible and also as a courtesy to those who want to read about it. I know a number of coaches who now (or always) refuse to post anything on this board because they are not interested in uninformed attacks.

yeah seems like they were invited to the first tryout, today was second tryout.

Congratulations to the participating players which are listed on the first post. Students listed are to attend the one and only practice:

April 1st at Brampton Centennial from 5-7pm. Please bring your $30 at that time.

List looks pretty good, can't think of any names really that are left off. Just a bit surprising though that Goetz made it to the semis and not even one player from team is selected for all star game. I guess it shows they truly play together as a team and no real "superstar".

By the way, is Ascension going to be in North or South? Because they are technically in Mississauga, but usually get grouped with Brampton schools as Malton is closer to Brampton than Mississauga.

I think North will win again, but it won't be as bad as last year. South is lucky that Manny Sahota isn't playing, imagine having to face this front court, Manny Sahota, Bikram Gill and Paul Williams. It wouldn't have been pretty for the South. THe south have no big men that can keep up with these guys, just look what these guys did to the Durham All-Stars! If you look at the Battle of the boards All Stars almost all the centres and forwards were from Brampton, so south big men better come prepared.

The only thing that will keep the South in the game this year is their backcourt of Jahmal Jones, Chris Anderson, Jamar Ford and Jahmal Price, those guys held it down at the battle of the boards.

Also anyone know what the heck is going on with Tychon Carter (Campion)??? He was selected for Battle of the Boards and he didn't show up. Now I don't see his name in Peel All Star game, there is no way he couldn't have not been selected. Is he getting into some trouble at school or what??

Ascenscion will be in the south again this year. They need to get a little bit of redemption for last year's result.
