    Tier 1 Predictions:

    __FIRST ROUND__
    d'Youville over Famille
    Ascension over Cawthra
    Campion over Joan of Arc
    Goetz over Fletcher's
    Carmel over Mayfield
    Lorne Park over Leger
    St. Joseph over Applewood
    Aquinas over Gonzaga

***IMO, the LP-Leger game and the Joes-Applewood game are the only two that could go either way.***

    __SECOND ROUND__
    d'Youville over Aquinas
    Ascension over St. Joseph
    Campion over Lorne Park
    Carmel over Goetz

    ***Carmel-Goetz could go either way.***

    __THIRD ROUND__
    d'Youville over Carmel
    Ascension over Campion

***No serious chance for an upset in this round or in the next round, IMO.***

    __FINAL__
    d'Youville over Ascension

__PLAYOFF FOR SECOND AAAA OFSAA SPOT__
    Campion over Carmel

    Predictions for ROPSSAA Reps:

    AAAA
    d'Youville & Campion

    AAA
Applewood will win ROPSSAA but their chances of advancing to OFSAA depend on which GHAC teams declare AAA. St. Mary's is currently tied for first in the Hamilton Catholic league and could declare AAA. If they are the rep, Applewood would likely fall one game short. Bishop Ryan is also AAA but they are in 5th in the Hamilton Catholic league. Hard to say how strong they would be because the four teams ahead of them are all among the top-25 teams in the province, IMO. There is also Burlington Notre Dame, which usually straddles the line between 4A and 3A. They are another possible opponent. Regardless, I suspect Applewood will be the underdog against any of these opponents.

    AA
Ascension will easily take Peel and should defeat the GHAC rep, even if it is Milton. Ascension's two stars trump Milton's twins.

    A
Brampton Christian should enjoy the experience of playing the GHAC rep but don't take it personally when they are overwhelmed by them.

Pretty accurate prediction...we have great respect for St. Joan of Arc so we have to prepare for them first..if we are fortunate enough to get by them, then we will worry about the GHAC..in either case, we would be the underdog.

St. Joe's will be very tough. We will have to impose our tempo on them to be successful.

Ascension went to work on us on Friday...you are right when you say they should get by Milton but I think it will be tougher than people think.

I think Aquinas has a chance to make d'Youville sweat...

We lost to St. Joseph's today by 4...great game...both teams had long legs by the end of the game...we missed 14 free throws and St. Joe's was excellent at the line...they hit some big shots down the stretch and we just did not execute down the stretch...congrats to St. Joe's...and we are looking forward to the AAA final tomorrow.
