Does anybody have the results from Tuesdays Quarter final matchups? The convenor in the North has done a very poor job updating scores on the TDSB website all year and doesn't even have the matchups posted nor the semi-final matchups for today. This is what doesn't help high school basketball.

Re: Toronto North Region Playoffs
The Toronto Star had only one score reported from Tuesdays playoffs:
York Mills 42 Newtonbrook 38
I was told that Westview beat Don Mills(Don't have score
Other games were
AY Jackson @ Downsview
Victoria Park @ Emery

Re: Toronto North Region Playoffs
Victoria Park upset Emery.
I'm sure Downsview must have beat AY Jackson since Downsview (1st place) is undefeated in league play this season, and won most games by 20points and up. AY Jackson was not very strong this year.

Re: Toronto North Region Playoffs
York Mills and Westview are the top two qualifiers for AAA, Victoria Park and Newtonbrook for AAAA. If this is the case then the matchups for the City quarter finals is against the West. They would be as follows:
AAAA
Etobicoke vs Newtonbrook
Weston vs Victoria Park
AAA
Richview vs Westview
York memorial vs York Mills
I would predict all blowouts in favour of the West with the closest game between York Memorial and York Mills which will still be a double digit victory.

Re: Toronto North Region Playoffs
Does anybody know what happened in todays final? Not surprisingly, the convenor of the North did not update a single thing regarding a playoff game and result on the TDSB website. This meant that most of us had no idea where the game was being played. I don't see the point of being a convenor if you are not gonna put an honest effort into it. You will see all kinds of regular season games with no scores and not a single playoff result. Pretty sad.

Re: Toronto North Region Playoffs
Does ANYBODY know the result of Downsview - York Mills.?
Toronto North is like the forgotten league in the TDSB. No coverage!
We can't even get the result of the finals over 24 hours later.

Re: Toronto North Region Playoffs
"Real Ball" it has been a joke in the North this year. On the TDSB internal mail, the convenor posted it as Downsview beating York Mills. No score, no leading scorers, nothing. As a coach, it bothers me when somebody does such a non-committal job. If they don't care , then don't do it. If it is overwhelming, then ask for help. The North is by far the weakest of the four Toronto regions but at the very least, they should have some exposure. If you look on the TDSB sports website, you will find that the West, South and East convenors do a great job in updating scores and playoff matchups. In some cases, those scores are posted by 5:30 the same day.
Now look at the North and you see the same thing for the quarter, semi and final. That is TBA @TBA with no locations. There is a slew of incomplete regular season scores. Who knew where to go to watch the North final if interested? I have no patience for this kind of lack of committment because I have done assigning and convening for years. It is a lot of work but you make a promise and have a responsibility and that is the point. It only hurts the kids.
