The divisions change each year so there's no way of making predictions based on divisions. In fact, some years there are only two divisions.

Re: Top 5 In each division in PEEL 08-09
I'm very excited for the peel season to start. Coming into the season, I believe these are the top teams in order:
1. D'youville
2. Xavier
3. Loyola
4. Campion
5. Mount Carmel
My two cents!

Trying to pick teams in order at this point doesn't make sense; better to group them. My two cents. (All teams are listed alphabetically)
TOP CONTENDERS
Campion, d'Youville, Xavier
POSSIBLE CONTENDERS
Goetz, Loyola
HOPING FOR AT LEAST FINAL 8
Ascension, Humberview, Meadowvale, Mount Carmel, Notre Dame, St. Augustine

They're a year away. The juniors from two years ago were not nearly as competitive as last year's juniors so the grade 11s on the team will get quite a bit of playing time this season. Championship teams in senior basketball are lead by grade 12s and 13s.
Assuming no one goes down south, Loyola will be the clear favourite to begin the 09-10 season.

Now that Jordan has graduated, people or going to discover that there was a solid supporting cast in the shadows. Many of them are back. They won't be a final four team but final eight is a definite possibility.

Re: Top 5 In each division in PEEL 08-09
I find this upcoming season in Peel hard to predict.
Teams like Humberview, Goetz, Ascension and Campion graduated most of their starters. D'youvile took a step back last year but have had a strong group of young players in their system. Loyola looks great with their graduating juniors. How about teams like Notre Dame and Lincoln who have not made much noise the last few years? Xavier is usually competitive. I don't think we will see one powerhouse in Peel - we should see a lot of competitive games and mixed results. Of course transfers may play a part as well.

i dont think Meadowvale is that strong of a team. seeing how they lost at home last year to Erindale a team that wasnt strong last year.

Re: Top 5 In each division in PEEL 08-09
That's true, however, Meadowvale has just about every senior returning.
This year they have a year of experience under their belt with the same starting five, if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Top 5 In each division in PEEL 08-09
Who is returning from Xavier?
I know that quite a few players left, including Clint.
Also, how is Humberview's squad looking?
