oakwood had their first taste of top competition this weekend and had a poor showing. winning closely against acmt vaughan and losing to a non ranked campion. they deserve where they are. carr is not the number 1 team in ontario. two bad losses.

Hold up a minute futurebigtimecoach. Didn't Loyola lose to Oakwood (who is obviously not that good) and to Holy Trinity (who REALLY is not that good)? Carr lost to Martingrove, who would beat Holy Trinity and to Pickering, who would beat both Holy Trinity and Oakwood. Carr then avenged both losses. Has Loyola avenged any losses? Nope, because they don't play anyone. Carr is number one right now, nuff said.

Carr is undoubtedly #1 at the moment. They've won the last two major Toronto tournaments and beaten a number of top 16 teams in each event.

Still, any of the top 8 can beat each other. Looking forward to the next eight weeks.

Carr is the best team in the city right now for sure.. They have lost to 2 teams who are in the top 10 and have also beat those same 2 teams by 10-15+ I believe unlike them only losing by 5 and 2 ... Loyola Oakville is a good team but they have a worst loss then Henry Carrs 2 combind (Holy Trinity)

I think that the list extends past the top 8....I think it is more like the top 12 teams could take out each other on any given day. Mother Teresa is cable of coming back just like Campion did this past weekend. D'youville made a nice climb a few weeks ago beating Campion. Pine Ridge had a victory slip away against Vaughn. Martingrove beat Henry Carr....so almost anything can happen any given weekend....we'll see what happens at the MT tournament with teams like J Clarke Richardson and maybe Pope John Paul will do same damage.

As for the number one team in the GTA, it is definitely Henry Carr at this point in time. They have proven themselves with two wins over Pickering and Eastern Commerce this season. They were the only team to stop a blazing Campion team this weekend so you have to give them the nod over Loyola (Oakville)

Why? Carr won the top tournament in the province and did so pretty convincingly. They have beat more top tams on a consistent basis than any other team. Their one loss to Martingrove so long ago should not be used to hold them back when there are no top teams that are undefeated.

    Peel Fan,

Just to clarify, Henry Carr also lost to Pickering by 2 points at the University of Windsor tournament over the Christmas Break. So Henry Carr has two losses this season.

mr bean holy trinity would beat martingrove. have you even seen holy trinity play??? i think you should check their scores, one lucky win against carr doesnt mean martingrove is a top team.

When henry carr lost to martingrove it automatically bumped oakwoodup. when everyone was playing in mark walton (which loyola won) oakwood wasplaying in sosaa beating the worst teams. the quality of ball didnot compare. oakwood lost whcih should of put loyola up to first. for everyeone saying that henry carr has not played loyola thats true. but the one tourny they played together loyola won the championship and henry carr lost in the semis. until they play noone can be judged to win. but based on what hooptown did last time henry carr lost, they should do the same for when oakwood lost. and for the people saying that loyola doesnt play anyone it's not their fault. theyve been to 4 tournies now? and won all 4. not including the one they won in florida. silver fox should be more of a clarification on why loyola should be 1st in ontario. every team has thier stupid losses. campion dropped one to sandlewood, thatll never happen again in a million years.

Campion plays right in D'Y strengths. Pushing the ball and Campion sits in a zone when 4 out of 5 DY starters shoot the 3 ball well.
