Junior Coaches Poll 2010-11 Time to vote!

Coaches please contact me if you wish to help with the Junior Coaches Poll I hope to get it out next Monday. I do have a very busy weekend ahead with the Mother Teresa Junior Tournament.

I am really hoping that some of the coaches who helped out last season can find the time to help out again this year!

Because it is a consensus and it is coaches who have actually seen the teams it is far more credible than any one individuals opinion.

I added two more top coaches today.

We are now four (including myself). I would like more please.

More coaches = greater credibility!

Count me in Bob ... as a referee and coach I get to see many teams ... that's if you want a referee's input!

So far, I have seen Boylen, Jeffery, Earl Haig, York Mills, Pearson, Cedar Brae, St. Mike's, Hillfield Strahallan, Pope, J Richardson, Ward, Libermann, ... will see at least 6 teams at the MT Tournament this week as well.

You know how to reach me as I see you at least twice a week ;-))!

As you would expect HSC preaches self-discipline/control, team work, sportsmanship and good work ethics. What it lacks in terms of exceptional athletes with good basketball skill it makes up with the expectation their players give it their best. So, if you're sending your son to HSC solely for basketball enrichment / excellence then may be there are other choices to consider in the Hamilton area - such as the traditional power houses that might put a slightly higher emphasis on excelling at basketball.

Suggest you go watch their Junior (playing Tier 2 in the CISAA) and U14 (playing Tier 1 in the CISAA) teams play some time this season and judge for yourself. You can access the schedule and results from the www.cisaa.ca website.

I hope to put out our first poll on Monday Dec. 6.

The poll will appear on the main Hooptown site and also in this forum.

I am asking for coaches votes today please. Even if you have not jkoined the panel you are welcome to send me your picks.

I will use the following scoring system: 1st place vote =20 points, 2nd place vote=19 points, etc.

You may include up to four HM's. This poll is for coaches and officials only.
