We try to always go by St Theresa of Lisieux but the Star uses Lisieux, local papers use St Theresa, and our students call it STL.

You can imagine the confusion!

people talk bout good teams who havent played any amazing ones yet, check out newmarket high school and st augustine from york, newmarket especially has been breezing through and has the talent to make some noise, after the break they play st.augustine, vaughn then st theresa of liseux, so judging on how they do there, then you should be ranking them (in no way am i saying they will beat vaughn but watch for the st.theresa game)

guys D'Y shudnt be ranked tht high as the lost a "season" game to cardinal leger by 17 points and only won another by 1. The loss 61-78

I think goetz should get a ranking they are very underrated team or at least HM

Dwill - Be careful. As many other 'posters' have noted on this board, one win does not AUTOMATICALLY place that team ahead of the losing team. Newmarket would need a lot more than just a win against another strong York Region team to warrant a top 16 ranking, let alone an honourable mention.

For instance, we beat MT but I would not place us, ranking-wise, above where MT is.

Teams can have bad games just as they can have good games. A proper ranking looks at a combination of all of the team's games.

How many non-York Region teams has Newmarket played? I know that Vaughan, and STL have each played at least 9 out of region games - not sure about Brebeuf but definitely 3+.

Using the example above, I wouldn't place Leger above d'Youville unless there was more information as to how they competed with teams outside of Peel Region. One win does NOT place Leger above d'Youville.

rvd1018 - I know you didn't; sorry if I made it seem this way. Your example fit perfectly into what I was saying.

Thanks for a great jumping-off point!

PHS should definitely be ahead of ND based on their record. We won't see ND and PHS meet in LOSSA play until playoffs (maybe) and I don't know if they meet in tournament play...so we'll have to speculate based on record I think.
I think there are so many good Junior teams that we should post a Junior Super Sixteen like the Seniors.

I see things this way.

I will not put numbers because I have to play these teams.

Top Level (no order):
Henry Carr A
Vaughn
Pope John Paul II
Eastern Commerce
Pickering

Middle Level (no order):
Richview
Oakwood
Mother Teresa
Henry Carr B
Notre Dame (Ajax)
Dunbarton
West Hill
St Francis Xavier
d'Youville

Knocking at the Door (no order):
St Jean de Brebeuf
St Theresa Lisieux
Martingrove
Newtonbrook
Brebeuf (TDCAA)
Jean Vanier

I hope I have not forgotten anyone.

I will leave it to others to rank the teams by the numbers. Smile
