I'm sure that I'm missing some others as well, but, this is a start for the Durham team based upon what is available from the top teams at Quad and triple A.

good start, I'd remove Jake Hutchcroft (he's a great shooter, no doubt, but there are plenty better), Jay Jay Ireland is a point guard, Teq Zwarych should replace him btw (too many pg's, and Justin>/= Tyrelle >>>>>>>>>>>>>Jay Jay>Kaza), Other than that good list. I'd add Agunwa from DOC, possibly Nathan from Sinclair as well)

pg - Justin Edwards
sg - Aaron Redpath
sf - Isaiah Swaby (missing from list above, is he still at PR?)
pf - Leon Alexander

Yeah! Isiah Swaby is still at Pine Ridge. The problem is that no school can have no more than three representatives. Gordo from Pickering is the coach for the Durham Team so he can only select three players from his own Pickering High Team. J Clarke has players, Pine Ridge has players, Anderson has players but in the end a maximum of three can be taken from any one school. Many players have the same skill set and play the same position. They are a tonne of shooting guards, point guards and small forwards. If Gordo takes the maximum amount of players from Pine Ridge, in my opinion he'll probably go with the big forwards from Pine Ridge (Adam Plummer and Nathaniel Virgo) rather than the guards. Then, there is room for one more player if he even decides to take the max three players...somebody will be the odd man out for sure.

Back in the day, when they had the Stars Wars Regional Tournament there was no cap on how many players could be selected from one high school. The Durham team used to consist of players from only three schools.... Pickering HIgh, ONeil and Ajax High and that's it.....about 7 players from Pickering, 4 from ONeil and 2 players from Ajax. The Durham team won the event against the Peel Regional Allstars in 1991 and 1992. This format is different so you gotta really pick and choose your players carefully from each school and make sure you don't have to much duplication at certain positions.

Well said. Shaq shaw is underated for his age. Alot of talent but also gets down on his team alot. He would do better at another school. I think with his skill level he has potential to be a top player. Next year will be a much better year for him as said. isaiah swaby is a hot and cold player, he has his days.

What about Nathan from Sinclair?

That's a lot of Loyola players on the Halton Team. The tournament rules state that you are only allowed a maximum of three players from any given school. So two of those Loyola players will not be selected when the teams are actually put together in March.

Still wondering why Peel is called Team West. Perhaps Coach Rana or the Peel coaches could let us know?
halton will crush york region
Halton actually has no chance at beating York. Halton maybe a better league but with the 15 I would take they would have ZERO chance of winning! York's depth at guard will make the difference.

P.S. I might take Cy over Choi now ...

I know that Peel is holding its first practice as a team this Saturday. 12 players have been selected but there could still be changes depending on who commits to the team.

Not all of the students have confirmed their participation so we are not going to be making any roster announcement until all of the students confirm.
